C. Poetry Committee

Their role will be to help us finding and selecting the best national poetry, to represent each country. It will be hard to choose 'the right' poetry. Therefore, we intend to call for the help of Permanent Poetry Advisers in addition to the local guidance of the people we meet on the track.

The Fundacion Vicente Huidobro, in charge of promoting the work of the Chilean artist Vicente Huidobro have decided to give us support in the field of poetry, making us profit from their very valuable and extended expertise in children poetry. The grandson of the poet Vicente Huidobro is also a member of our Board of Advisers.

Barbara Morana, fascinated about European and Latin American poetry, is graduated in Paris in Art History seven years ago. She has worked for several years for the Ministry of Culture in Chile, and she is today in charge of the organization of cultural programs at the Union Latina in Santiago, which promotes Latin American culture all over the world, working closely with the UNESCO.
She brought Rodin sculptures to the capital in April 2005, the biggest cultural event of the history in Chile.

Fiona Capuano was born in Istanbul and raised in Brooklyn yeshivas. After a New York University inspired Clinical Psychology and Creative Writing obsessions, she pursued an eclectic career in the world of poetry. Today, Fiona is a surrealist poet, painter and photographer. Writing in English, Turkish, French, Hebrew and Spanish, she performs her witty words in venues around New York and Brooklyn.
