Mission and Vision
Our Mission
Our Mission is to inspire children across global borders in order to build a more tolerant world for tomorrow. We hope to stimulate the creativity, curiosity and artistic sensitivities in the children of the 192 UN listed countries by letting them discover the world of poetry, drawing and photography. By giving them a voice, children are empowered to express their feelings, build their self-esteem, and create a more positive future.
Our Vision
Our Vision is to educate through Art, and promote cross boundaries multicultural understandings, through exchanges, partnership, and inspiring Global Citizenship. Through Art as their tool, children and, in turn, adults will be able to gain knowledge of cultural similarities and differences, and to embrace the “unknown” with the tolerance, understanding and curiosity. We believe in the power of Art to transform lives.
AiA from 2009 on:
Year after year, AiA has received exponential support from schools, partners, parents and of course children. Every year since AiA’s foundation, we have launched new programs (the World Art Book in 2004, the Awareness Program in 2005, the Pen Pal program in 2006, Violet in 2007, and AiA Curriculum in 2008). We have worked in the last 3 years with more than 250 schools participating in our programs.
Your continuous support will help us to enroll more schools in the future in our creative activities inspiring our children to Global Citizenship.
Raising 670,000 Euros/year will help us:
Enroll 150 additional schools in our programs
Finance over 100 new art exchanges
Continuously organize new AiA activities in AiA School network
Create more incentives for teachers to teach AiA curriculum
To recruit our first paid employees to maintain continuous programs support
Develop and distribute AiA curriculum kits to 40 schools
Create an AiA Volunteer Academy and train more teachers and volunteers to become AiA teachers in schools worldwide
Distribute the WAB in 200 schools without any cost for the schools
Organize 5 child art and photography exhibition each year.
